Your safety is our objective and that is why we have prepared these prevention measures, which we have implemented in all our surf courses, based on the guidelines of the Spanish Surfing Federation. We count on your collaboration with the aim of offering you the best service in the best conditions so that you can enjoy your experience with us safely.
To book the Surf or Sup lesson
- You can contact us through our phone or whatsapp +34 622 44 22 28 and we will inform you of everything.
- You must fill out the reservation form and accept the terms and answer the protocol questions.
- We will reserve the day for you and surf.
Before leaving home
- First thing in the morning, take the temperature and write it down to give it to the surf school, if your temperature exceeds 37º you should notify the person in charge of the surf school and not attend the activity.
- Wear your swimsuit / bikini under your clothes, preferably wearing comfortable tracksuit-style clothing.
- Protect yourself from the sun with sun cream before going out, and then wash your hands well with soap and water.
- It is preferable that you carry your own individual backpack with: towel, your own bottle of water and flip flops.
- If you have your own wetsuit, bring an individual plastic bag to put it in your backpack.
- Most importantly, don’t forget your own mask and hydroalcoholic gel (Surgical mask or FPP2/KN95).
Meeting with the instructor at the pickup or beach.
- The instructors will be equipped with an FPP2 mask and / or a protective screen, (measuring the temperature individually before the start of each work day). All surf equipment is disinfected every day after individual use.
- To the extent possible, payments will be made by transfer or Bizum. In case of paying in cash, the exact money will be taken so as not to manipulate changes.
- When you meet the surf instructor on the transport or beach, respect the distance and confirm your name and the temperature you had that morning.
- The instructor will provide you with all the necessary information about the classes that day and protocol.
Upon reaching the beach the instructor will leave you a wetsuit of your size (in case you do not have your own), the wetsuits are disinfected after each use. - In the first stages of de-climbing, identification lycra will not be used.
- We will take note of the board that you will use that day and the instructor will make it available to you before the class (the boards are disinfected with the protocol of the Spanish Surfing Federation after each use).
- You will put on your neoprene and flip flops and you will keep your mask in your backpack. You will take your backpack to the beach with your surfing equipment (we recommend not carrying valuables for which the school cannot be responsible for their loss or theft).
- We will go down to the beach in order and respecting the safety distances of 2 meters.
On the beach and in the sea.
- Each student will transport their material throughout the class and will not lend it to any other student.
- The safety distance of 2 meters will be maintained in the development of the theory and technical explanation, as well as in the warm-up that will be carried out at a fixed point in a circle.
- Small groups (maximum 8 students x instructor).
- At sea, the same safety distance of 2 meters will be maintained as far as possible.
- When interacting with the instructor, keeping the safety distance and trying not to speak too loudly, if possible, the two speakers will cross the wind.
Finish surf lesson
- Return from the beach to the school vehicle keeping the safety distance of 2 meters.
- Row / order and distance to return the surf equipment to the outside of the vehicle (which will be disinfected with the protocol of the Spanish Surfing Federation after each use).
- Each student must change in his vehicle or with sufficient distance from the rest of the students, leaving the neoprene, lycra and mooring / invention in cubes that the instructor will provide.
- I return home after a great day of surfing.
Protocol in case of locating a Covid-19 positive
What to do if any member of the surfing school or student who has carried out an activity in the last 14 days has symptoms compatible with COVID 19 disease?
If any member of the school or student knows of a suspicious case or a member of the club manifests any of the symptoms compatible with the disease (fever, cough, muscle pain, respiratory distress, headache, etc …), they will immediately notify the person responsible of the activity that without delay must:
- Inform the School Director
- Ask the member of the school or student with any symptom compatible with COVID 19 to go to their home, from where they will contact the corresponding telephone service so that they can evaluate their situation, through 112 or 061.
- Identify the participants of the school (teachers, students, technical and administrative staff) who have been in close contact with the suspiciously affected participant, communicating it to the Director of the School, in order to follow up on it.
If it turns out negative?
- If the result is negative, and the symptoms persist, the participant will continue at home, completing the administrative procedures to request his / her leave from work, if applicable, and following the instructions of the health service of his / her Autonomous Community / Autonomous City.
If it turns out positive?
- If the result has been positive, the participant will remain isolated at home, also having to carry out the aforementioned administrative procedures.
- The Director of the Surfing School will coordinate the actions with those responsible for the activities for the adoption of the necessary measures in relation to the rest of the participants who have been in close contact with the diagnosed worker (approximate physical environment of 2m .) in the last 15 days, as well as for cleaning and disinfecting the material or areas touched by the participant. To do this, they will check the documented minutes (with names and surnames, telephone numbers and temperatures of the participants) of the activities carried out in the last 15 days.
- The activities of the group that has been in contact with the possible affected will be immediately stopped and all students and organizers / managers who may have been in the activities of the last 15 days will be notified. The stoppage will last 15 days from the last participation of any activity partner of a positive affected, or this.
- After confirming a positive case for Covid 19, an exhaustive cleaning will be carried out, beyond the “General cleaning plan” with sufficiently disinfecting products, of absolutely all the school material (offices, classrooms, rooms, uniforms, warehouses, means of transportation, boards, suits, inventions, fins, towels, ponchos, or any other material used, etc …)
Legal clauses.
I exempt the school and its employees from any responsibility related to a possible Covid-19 infection, as a result of the activity carried out at the Mahalo Surf School, as well as my presence at the school.
